Hello again! i am delighted to say that Hard to Choos has been selling very well, and that it's already had three five-star reviews on Amazon as well as a big thumbs up in the Irish Times and an out-and-out rave in the Irish Independent. This most gratifying review included the following adjectives: 'delicious', 'feisty', 'funny', 'sassy', 'sexy', 'tasty', 'utterly charming' and 'wickedly frivolous', while the Sunday World described the novel as 'fabulous, laugh-out-loud, essential summer reading'.
Here i am with
Cathy and
Marian Keyes
at the launch party. Cathy and Marian are very dear friends, and Hard to
Choos is dedicated to them. I had a lovely time signing copies of the book in Eason's in Galway during the Arts Festival week, alongside my friend and animus Kate Thompson, who was signing copies of her latest novel Sex Lies & Fairytales, which - i am delighted to say - is a Sunday Times Top Recommended Read in their Sun, Sea & Sex category!

COMPETITION |

|
Now for the
competition
that's mentioned on my home page. In Hard to Choos my heroine, Charlotte,
embarks on an Easter egg hunt that takes place in the gorgeous environs of Cholyngham (the country
house hotel owned by the parents of Charlotte’s friend, Finn). This
inspired me to devise a treasure hunt for readers of this newsletter, so i petitioned my web-master
to come up with something that might provide you with an hour or two of
amusement on a rainy day (see the pretty little Choo on the right). The prize
- a signed and personally dedicated
collectable
copy of
Hard to Choos - will go to the first correct entry out of the hat at
the end of November.
To find out more about Hard to Choos,
please go to my Books Page - and please do come back and visit again soon.
The winner of the October competition was: JO BRYAN from the UK (Please let me know your address Jo, and I’ll put a copy in the post.) Good luck to all who enter! |
